Long Live the King

I don’t really have time for this, but it’s too good to pass up. Larry King, who has hosted various political talk shows for CNN and elsewhere for the better part of 200 years, still doesn’t want to retire. This in itself isn’t worth reporting here (fluff pieces? the Curious Mechanism? Noooo…), but there’s a twist. Here, Larry’s own words, from the NY Times:

“What would it take to go?” he said, paraphrasing a visitor’s halting question as succinctly as he might on his own talk show. “If, God forbid, I had an onset of dementia or Alzheimer’s. That would be it. And what I would wish is that if I get that, no joke intended, that it happens on the air. Just to see how they handle it.”

Oh, who does Larry want to replacement when he goes? Ryan Seacrest. Really. Perfect
